Staff Engineer

Juan has been working in the Rogue Valley as an engineer since 2017.  His construction background started back in high school when he worked with an architect as a draftsman.  He studied architecture in Mexico at the University of Guanajuato before deciding to move to the United States where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Oregon Institute of Technology.   He has experience in all facets of residential construction from concrete work to finished carpentry.  He has collaborated as a project engineer on large projects in the Bay area.  Juan is always open to new learning and he is currently working towards obtaining his PE license.

While at OIT, Juan worked for the Oregon Tech Racing Team building a race car as the lead engineer for the car’s chassis.  He also worked on the development of turbulence generators to maximize the race car downforce and overall aerodynamic performance.

Juan is an avid motorcycle rider.  He rides about 10,000 miles a year in the Pacific Northwest.  When he’s not on a ride he likes camping and spending time with his family and friends.
