Two-story independent wood-framed structure within an existing concrete tilt-up building structure. The design added concrete footings as well as retrofitted existing foundations to resist the additional point loads produced by steel columns. It also called for laterally braced 2x framed walls to the existing structures open-web steel joist rood system utilizing vertically slotted connections.
